GEORGIA AND AZERBAIJAN NEGOTIATING TARIFFS FOR GAS TRANSPORTATION
President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze will arrive in Baku on an official call on the invitation of Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliev. As reported by "CNA" agency, the main purpose of the visit is signing of a packet of agreements on Azerbaijani gas transit from "Shah-Deniz" Caspian gas field to Turkey through the territory of Georgia. This visit was expected to take place late in June, but was postponed because of lack of coordination of transit tariffs and complicated internal political situation in Georgia. In Baku delegations of Azerbaijan and Georgia coordinated the terms of gas transit from "Shah-Deniz" Wednesday. After that texts of inter-governmental agreements were elaborated by experts.
