Last week three foreign consortiums included in the exploration drilling in the contract areas of the Caspian informed Azerbaijan's State oil company about the stopping of their works. This is not the first confirmation of the fact that the myth of the local Azerbaijani oil supply is being destroyed. As it became known to CNA agency from the informed sources, 2001 May "TotalFinalElf" company, being displeased with the first exploration drilling results in the perspective "Talish-deniz" area made a request for its refusal of the second exploration drilling of the oil well in "Lenkoran-deniz" area. Instead of that, this French-Belgian Company offered dollar adjustment at the rate of the oil well project price- $10-15 mln. In July, the example of 'TotalfinalElf" was followed by "Azerbaijan B.V." and "Exxon Azerbaijan" companies.
