Turkish parliament approves bill on Foreign Ministry reorganization

Turkish parliament approved a bill envisaging restructure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Anatolian Agency reported.

Accordingly, the Ministry will consist of 25 directorates including the Directorate General of Crisis Management, the Directorate General of Policy Planning and the Directorate General of Global and Humanitarian Issues.

Under the bill, Turkey will open new missions especially in African countries. It also envisages opening of Diplomacy Academy for training of personnel of the Ministry.

Ambassadors will represent the state, the president and the government.

The bill will come into force 30 days later its publication in the Official Gazette.
