Armenian chapel to be consecrated in Afghanistan

Spiritual leader of the Armenian Armed Forces, Bishop Vrtanes Abramyan, who left for Afghanistan with a delegation of Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, will conduct a consecration ceremony of an Armenian chapel in Kunduz. The chapel was constructed through the efforts of the Armenian military unit stationed in Kunduz, the press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin reported.

The spiritual leader will also convey to the military unit the blessing of Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Karekin II, as well as ecclesiastic items granted by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin for the chapel's activity.
