Galust Sahakyan: Azerbaijan, as a country, exists to commit provocative acts

No reports were received on any agreements to be signed at December summit in Astana, according to Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group leader Galust Sahakyan.

As he told a news conference in Yerevan, neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan has seen any pressure on behalf of superpowers where the issue is concerned. “Armenia’s position remains unchanged: no roadmap can be discussed until Karabakh status is determined,” he stressed.

Dwelling on the exchange of hostages with Azerbaijan, Sahakyan expressed doubts about the sincerity of Baku’s intentions.

“Azerbaijan, as a country, exists to commit provocative acts,” he said.
