THE ACTIVITY OF ISLAMIST PARTY IS BANNED IN TURKEY
. The Constitutional Court of Turkey has made a decision to ban the activity of Islamist Party, which has rather serious influence on people and is considered the main opposition power. According with the decision of the court, two deputies of Mejlis, who represent Islamist Party, are deprived deputy power and also the right to be engaged in public politics during five years. According to the Constitutional Court members' opinion, the actions of the leaders of the Party are in contradiction with the Constitution, which states, that Turkey is a secular state.
