American writer, co-founder of Graham House Review magazine Peter Balakian said that currently the Armenian Genocide is such a problem for Ankara, which is better to deny than to solve.

The fact that discussions around the Armenian Genocide have been launched in the Turkish society gives hope, Balakian told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Commenting on the Armenian Genocide Resolution submitted to the U.S. Congress, Balakian noted that the U.S. Administration is well aware of what took place in the Ottoman Empire early in the 20th century.
