Producer and director of “Interrupted Song” film gave a press conference in Moscow to comment on the constant attacks of the Azerbaijani media and feedback from Armenian and Azeri diasporas in Russia.
“Azerbaijani 1news.az agency doesn’t stop publishing hysteric articles. Last week we spread a statement to accuse the agency of distorting the reality and discrediting the film. In response, 1news.az posted an offending publication which resembled a monolog of a boisterous woman rather than a material written by a journalist from one of Azerbaijan’s leading news agencies,” producer Ashot Poghosyan said.
“Such cynical behavior looks ridiculous and conflicts with journalism ethic norms. We demand a public apology for this provocation,” he added.
Director Arik Manukyan said for his part that they will seek to screen the film worldwide.
“Collection of funds will be launched in late January. The scenario and other materials regarding the film will be provided for all persons concerned,” he said.
