Renowned conductor Ohan Durian died at the age of 88 on January 6, 2011.
By decision of the Armenian Prime Minister, a governmental commission for organization of the funeral was formed.
Ohan Durian was born on September 8, 1922 in Jerusalem. He moved to Yerevan in 1957 ands was the conductor of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra in 1960-65. He had headed the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet since 1971.
