World-famous scientists to deliver lectures on modern genetics in Yerevan

On February 20-26, Yerevan will host a course of lectures on modern genetics.

The event was organized by Young Biologists Association (YBA) NGO jointly with Yerevan State University (YSU) and the Federation of the Societies of Biochemistry (FEBS), association chairman Arsen Gasparyan said.

The event, focusing on the latest achievements in genetics and genetic instabilities as cause of cancer, will feature 13 world-famous scientists, including an English biochemist, Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine laureate Timothy Hunt.

30 Armenian and 19 foreign students, as well as young scientists from U.S., UK, France, Japan, Russia, Canada were invited to participate.
