The total amount of deposits in commercial banks of Armenia banks made AMD 702.3bln as of the end of December 2010 that is 6.9% or AMD 45.3bln higher compared to December 2009.

Deposits at the amount of AMD 586.9bln were received from the country’s residents, while AMD 115.4bln – from non-residents, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia.

Besides, AMD deposits totaled 31%, while foreign currency deposits amounted to 69%.
