LEGAL PROCEDURES OF ARMENIA TO ACT IN NAGORNO KARABAKH
YEREVAN, April 26. /Mediamax/. There is already a legal base for transfer to a new judicial system in Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR), Head of the NKR State Administration on Justice, Robert Hayrapetian told Mediamax.
According to him, the new system guarantees independence of judicial power, objectivity of legal procedures and is more democratic. He noted that during the legal reforms, the same three-stage system functioning in Armenia would be implemented in Nagorno Karabakh, because "both countries are in a single legal field". Hayrapetian says the difference is that in NKR the Cassation and the Appeal Courts will function within the structure of the Supreme Court.
Following the example of Armenia, it is stipulated that court punishment functions will be passed from the Internal Affair bodies to the judicial ones. Hayrapetian informs that simultaneously with creation of a new court system, the legal procedures of Armenia will be introduced in NKR. There will be made certain corrections connected with specifics of Nagorno Karabakh. --0--
