CONGRESSMAN RADANOVICH CALLS ON U.S. PRESIDENT TO HONOR ARMENIAN GENOCIDE PLEDGE
YEREVAN, April 21. /Mediamax/. Congressman George Radanovich (R-CA), a leading Congressional advocate for official U.S. commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, has called on President George W. Bush to honor his pledge to recognize the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) told Mediamax today.
In his April 19th letter to the White House, Rep. Radanovich specifically noted that he considers it "crucial" that the President "use the word 'Genocide' in [his] April 24th statement.
On March 28th, the Armenian National Committee (ANC) of Illinois informed that during the visit to Chicago, U.S. President confirmed his pledge, which he had given during his pre-electoral campaign, "to ensure that the American nation properly recognizes the tragic suffering of the Armenian people". --0--
