YEREVAN, April 14. /Mediamax/. The Government of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) confirmed the "Main directions of socio-economic development of Shushi region for 2001-2010".
As Mediamax was informed today in the press service of the government of Karabakh, the complex development of the town of Shushi and the region as a whole has strategic significance, in connection with what the authorities of Nagorno Karabakh are ready to assist all the businessmen who will express willingness to make investments in various spheres of economy.
The "main directions" envisage the study and processing of mineral-raw material resources of the region, the foundation of production for mineral water output, development of stock raising and bee keeping.
According to the general plan of Shushi, worked out by the Yerevan "Armproyect" institute, mainly 1-2 storied houses are planned to be built in the town, as well as cultural-educational institutions are to be established. Shushi region has all the necessary conditions for tourism development, and construction of small and middle size hotels and restoration of sanitary complexes are planned in the perspective. --0--
