About 450000 Odnoklassniki.ru and 90000 Facebook social networks users were reported in Armenia. “However, Armenian Facebook users are more active than those at Odnoklassniki,” the head of social science department at Yerevan State University, political sciences doctor Artur Atanesyan noted.

“To be interesting on Facebook, a person should have a certain social status,” the expert stated, noting that the number of the social network users increases by 5000 every half year.

“As compared to other counties, Armenia has rather passive presence in social networks. We are 124th in social network presence, while Georgia and Azerbaijan are positioned 86th and 96th respectively,” the expert said. Turkey is among the leaders, having been placed 4th.
