TENDER COMMITTEE MEMBER DOES NOT EXCLUDE THAT ONE OF COMPANIES PRIVITISES ALL 4 ENERGY NETWORKS
YEREVAN, April 3. /Mediamax/. The member of tender committee on privatization of Armenian distributive power networks Seyran Avagian did not exclude today in his interview to Mediamax that the companies participating in the tender may apply to purchase all 2 packages (the 4 distributive power networks are sold in 2 packages, 2 networks each).
In that case, Avagian says, in accordance with the anti-monopoly legislation, the sale of the networks will be accomplished under stricter conditions. Commenting the rumors about the possible refusal of the Spanish Union Fenosa to participate in the tender, Avakian said that the committee had not received any official application from the company.
On April 20, when the envelopes with proposals are being open, the committee will either have to suggest the government to privitise the networks at offered prices, or suggest to refuse the deal, Seyran Avakian informs.
After the refusal of the French Electricite de France and Swiss-Swedish ABB, 2 companies participate in the tender - the American AES Silk Road and the Spanish Union Fenosa. --0--
