Russian MFA: Armenian-Turkish normalization important, but Moscow will not interfere

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said that Russia considers the Armenian-Turkish normalization to be important, but it is not going to interfere in it.

"We consider the Armenian-Turkish normalization to be first of all a matter of bilateral relations, and Russia is not going to interfere in the process," Lukashevich told a briefing in Moscow.

According to him, Russia has initially supported the rapprochement of Yerevan and Ankara, which contributes to enhancing confidence in Caucasus. We want this process to yield positive results, RIA Novosti quoted Lukashevich as saying.
