Member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) parliamentary group Manvel Badeyan said that opposition Heritage party has not got any chance to join the National Assembly of next convocation.

According to him, the comprehension of this very fact and aspiration to be in the public eye push Heritage representatives to take drastic steps, up to party leader’s hunger strike.

Badeyan said that it is ridiculous to be offended by the fact that three parties signed an agreement on cooperation and want to prevent the fourth party from entering the parliament. He noted that any party’s desire to have monopoly in the parliament is natural.

Member of Heritage parliamentary group Armen Martirosyan said for his part that the current authorities want to monopolize the political field after the monopolization of economy. He added that Heritage has always struggled for free competition.
