Kukaracha Armenian-Russian 3D animation film to premiere in Yerevan

On April 6, Yerevan’s Moscow cinema will premiere Kukaracha 3D animation film. The film came as a result of a joint work of TouchFX Armenian animation studio and Paradise Russian company.

The budget of the film, created over the period of 4 years, comprised USD 4.5 million. Within a week of screening in Moscow, the film hit USD 1 million at the box-office.

As film creators, TouchFX studio director and film producer Vahe Sargsyan and TouchFX technical director Vardan Karapetyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “the project met with skepticism at the very start. No one believed it will ever be completed. But, the hard part is just beginning. Armenia has serious potential. With professional young specialists, Armenian cinema will soon start a new life.”

The first Armenia-Russian animation film lasts 77 min. The film will be screened during 3 weeks. Tickets cost – AMD 1000-2000.
