Military cooperation between Georgia and Armenia is impossible as it can cause tensions in the Transcaucasia, a Georgian expert said.
Presuming that military cooperation was among top issues discussed by Georgian Defense Minister Bacho Akhalaia in Yerevan, Irakly Sesiashvili said that risks that can ‘accompany’ such partnership should be taken into account.
“Military cooperation with Armenia may irritate Azerbaijan. So Georgia must not side either with Azerbaijan or Armenia, as it can arouse indignation of one of these countries,” he said.
Besides, Sesiashvili believes that the Russian base deployed in Armenia present a menace for Georgia, GHN reports.
