President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite will visit Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia next week, Chief Advisor to the Lithuanian President Linas Balsys told Ziniu Radijas.
According to Balsys, the trip to Caucasus is important, as Lithuania holds the OSCE Chairmanship, while these countries are known for protracted, “frozen” conflicts.
“It is expected that the visit to these countries by the leader of the country holding the OSCE Chairmanship will facilitate dialogue between the conflicting parties,” Balsys concluded.
