SWISS PARLIAMENT MAY DISCUSS ARMENIAN RESOLUTION
09.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Swiss Parliament is preparing to discuss passage of an Armenian genocide law.
As the Turkish Cumhuriyet paper reports, the application prepared by Josef Zsyadis, a deputy of Greek origin, and signed by other four deputies, will be discussed in the Parliament in March. The Parliament will decide whether or not to prepare a law.
Meanwhile, Ankara is concerned over the new Armenian attempts in Switzerland. Diplomatic sources states bilateral relations between the two countries would be seriously damaged unless the attempts were prevented. --0--
