Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Special Envoy of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Reza Rauf Sheibani to discuss agreements reached during a meeting of the two countries’ Presidents.

Nalbandian stressed the importance of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation, specifically, in the fields of energy and transport.

The parties referred to the activity of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental committee, hailing its role for boosting the economic ties. Another sitting of the committee will be held in Tehran soon.

Besides, regional and international matters presenting mutual interest were in the focus of the meeting, the RA MFA press service reported.
