Recently, Syria-Turkey relations have cooled over the official Ankara's position on riots in Syria, according to the editor-in-chief of Beirut-based Aztag daily newspaper.
As Shahan Kandaharian stated in a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Turkey is attempting to interfere with Syria's internal affairs, supporting the West's accusations of Bashar Al-Assad.
“The situation does not harm military cooperation between the countries. Political confrontation, however, is becoming more obvious, with critical reports appearing on both sides,” he said. The recent events prove the role of Turkey in Syria will change, with Ankara to be subjected to more criticism by Damascus.”
