Speaker of the Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan responded to journalists’ questions in the National Assembly on May 23.

Commenting on recent statement by Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharian concerning the decrease of living standards over the past years, Abrahamyan said that “the country is rapidly advancing in a natural way.”

“Armenia’s second president gave natural answers to questions addressed to him,” he said.

Abrahamyan left unanswered the question whether the statement by Prosperous Armenia party leader Gagik Tsarukyan about his party independent participatation in the 2012 parliamentary election runs counter to the coalition agreement.
