Russian President Dmitry Medvedev sent a congratulatory address to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan on occasion of his 57th birthday.

The message reads: “Under your leadership, Armenia is on its way to the state building, socio-economic reforms and strengthening positions at international stage. Progressive sustainable development of the country gained you a reputation of competent politician.

Your personal contribution to development of Russian-Armenian ally relationship deserves great respect. I highly praise the atmosphere around our regular and fruitful contacts which boosts discussion of wide circle of issues of bilateral and regional agendas.

I am convinced that mutual intention for deepening multi-aspect ties, development of economic cooperation and close coordination within regional units is the important factor of further strengthening of Russian-Armenian strategic partnership, support of peace and stability in Transcaucasus.”
