Chairman of the Armenian Plastic Surgeons Association Armen Hovhannesyan says that the number of plastic surgeries grows in Armenia each year.

“Plastic operations have been performed in Armenia since 1980s, however, their number increased dramatically over the past 10-15 years,” he told a press conference on August 13.

For his part, plastic surgeon Hayk Yenokyan noted that majority of patients do not want to become like someone but just want to have a better face.

Both surgeons confirmed that nose surgery is most popular in Armenia, followed by abdominal surgery and facelift.
