Armenian weightlifter Aghasi Aghasyan (77kg) won gold at the Summer World Student Games in Shenzhen, China.

Aghasi has lifted 151kg in the snatch and 186kg in the clean & jerk to grab the gold medal with a total of 337kg. Russia’s Vyacheslav Latushin came second. Another Russian participant Viktor Kharchenko finished third.

Aram Andrikyan’s (85kg) performance was unsuccessful. Norayr Vardanyan, Vardan Davtyan and Hayk Hakobyan will join competition later.
