Tours to Georgia popular among Armenian citizens

In September 2011, South Caucasus Railway CJSC in cooperation with Elite Tour Georgian tour agency announced the launch of two-day tours in Georgia, intended both for weekend and week-day stay.

Passengers are transported by South Caucasus Railway (SCR) trains.

“The initiative enjoys popularity among Armenians,” deputy director of the SCR passenger transfer directorate Karine Grigoryan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Heart of Georgia tour avails Armenian tourists of the opportunity to visit country’s top destinations. The tour price for a group of 20-40 and 18-19 people totals USD 155 and USD 175 respectively.

In the framework of Wine Tour, tourists get an opportunity to visit Georgian winemaking centers in Kakheti and Tsinandali. The tour price for a group of 20-40 and 18-19 people totals USD 275 and USD 285 respectively.

The company representative also noted that during their stay in Tbilisi tourists can have free use of train compartment at Tbilisi-passenger railway station. Among the new tour proposals are visits to Borjomi and Bakuriani.
