Armenian -69 kg weightlifters were the fist to perform at 2011 International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships and 2012 Olympic Qualification Event in Paris.

As a result, Armenia's Samvel Grigoryan finished 11th, lifting 145 kg in the snatch and 171 kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 316 kg.

Tang De-shang of China won the men's 341-kg category after lifting 155 kg in the snatch and 186 kg in the clean and jerk.

European champion Meline Daluzyan is due to perform on November 9.
