IRAN IS READY TO REALIZE INVESTMENTS IN THE ARMENIAN FRONTIER REGION OF MEGHRI, DECLARED IN YEREVAN THE DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER OF IRAN

The Iranian side welcomes the initiative of the government of Armenia in the improvement of the economic situation in Meghri region bordering with Iran, and the Iranian investors are ready to participate in the realization of a number of programs, in the spheres of road construction and infrastructures improvement in particular.
As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the government of Armenia, the deputy foreign minister of Iran Muhammad Hussein Adel informed this at the meeting with the prime minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian.
Prime Minister Margarian highly assessed the Armenian-Iranian bilateral relations and stressed the necessity of giving more business character to the bilateral programs of cooperation.
The sides noted with contentment that the relations between Armenia and Iran have activated for the past two months. It was noted that many projects have not only regional economic but also international political importance.
The prime minister of Armenia and the deputy foreign minister of Iran stressed that Armenia and Iran are important links of the "East-West" corridor and are going to continue the participation in international integration processes. -0-
