U.S. exert: Karabakh conflict can’t be solved through renewed war

Senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace said Karabakh conflict can’t be solved through renewed war, in view of catastrophic repercussions of the step.

As Thomas de Waal told Azadliq radio station when asked if Azeri accession to UN Security Council as non-permanent member may strengthen Baku position in Karabakh settlement, “with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs as permanent members of UN Security Council, Azeri attempts at using UN to affect the peace talks can easily be vetoed.”
