Armenian opposition must have at least 20% of parliamentary seats to be able to dispute coalition initiatives at Constitutional Court, ARF Dashnaktsutyun member said.
“With coalition in absolute majority, current authorities have complete freedom of action,” Armen Rustamyan said, slamming the government’s failure to implement the social and economic program planned.
According to the politician, in early December, ARFD issued a vote of no-confidence over non- implementation of 2008-2012 economic program. “Opposition lacks the necessary parliamentary seats to be able to take the matter to Constitutional Court. This is the reason ARFD initiated a signature collection campaign, addressing representatives of coalition and independent parliamentarians for support,” Rustamyan said.
