U.S. Embassy in Baku, currently headed by Chargé d'Affaires Adam Sterling will continue cooperation with Azerbaijani government.

"It is very important for the U.S to have an ambassador in Azerbaijan," U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin told a news conference in Baku Thursday, January 19.

"We hope for an ambassador to be sent here as soon as possible," he said, expressing hope for the U.S. embassy to continue cooperation with the official Baku.
