ARMENIAN PRIME MINISTER AND GREEK DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER DISCUSSED "ARMENTEL" PROBLEM
Armenian prime minister Andranik Margarian discussed the problem referring to "ArmenTel" company's activities in Armenia with deputy foreign minister of Greece Ioannis Magriotis, who is in Yerevan on a visit. It should be reminded that 90% of shares of "ArmenTel," which is the monopolist of the telecommunication sphere of Armenia, are owned by OTE Greek corporation. The Armenian premier emphasized that the Armenian government was interested in continuing the mutually favorable partnership with the company, but taking into consideration the world developments in the high technology sphere, it seeks to have contemporary quality and level telecommunications. At that A. Margarian noted that the Armenian party was not going to extend problems related to one company over warm and friendly relations with Greece. The Greek diplomat also assured of his government's readiness to develop the Armenian-Greek ties in all spheres.
