The Caucasus Institute director noted it improbable for ex-president Robert Kocharian to return to politics as a parliamentary candidate.
“There’s no political advantage in running for parliament to take one of 131 seats,” Alexander Iskandaryan said.
“However, once a politician, always a politician,” the expert ironized, citing the return of Karen Demirchyan and Levon Ter-Petrossian as an example.
The expert characterized media rumors over the upcoming return of Kocharian as a figment of journalists’ fantasy, advising a skeptical approach to similar reports.
