Armenia is interested in purchasing military equipment and ammunition from Ukraine. As reported by Arminfo agency according to Ukrainian sources, Armenian defense minister Serge Sargsian told journalists upon completion of the meeting held in Kiev with his Ukrainian colleague Yevgeni Marchhuk. Armenian minister noted that during the soviet period there were not any large depots of military equipment or arsenal in Armenia, and by this reason it needs ammunition for survivability of its armed forces. At the same time Serge Sargsian did not specify what kind of equipment and ammunition Armenia is going to buy. In his turn, the Ukrainian defense minister informed that preparation of the intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation between Armenia and Ukraine is approaching conclusion.
