Armenia’s Hovhannes Danielyan (49kg) scored wins over Italian and French representatives in the first and second rounds of the Strandja Cup International Boxing Tournament, ongoing in Bulgaria.

Meanwhile, Hovhannes Bochkov (56kg) lost to Lazaro Estrada (Cuba).

Artur Khachatryan (81 kg) and Sergo Poghosyan scored wins over Christian Demaj (Albania) and Zamiq Atakishiyev (Azerbaijan) respectively.

After suffering a 5:25 defeat by Welsh Andrew Selby, Baregham Harutyunyan (52kg) dropped out of the tournament, Armenian Boxing Federation press service told PanARMENIAN.Net.

The tournament will determine Armenian participants for the tournament in Trabzon, Turkey due on April 13-22. Andranik Hakobyan (75 kg) is the only Armenian representative to qualify for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
