RUSSIA HAS NO INTENTIONS TO CLOSE ANPP, RF VICE PREMIER STATED
Russia does not consider any plans for closing the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP), Russia's Vice Premier, co-chairman of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation Boris Alyoshin said when commenting on the EU's statements about the necessity of closing the ANPP under consideration of safety. In his words, the matter only concerns the perfection of the functioning and increasing the efficiency of the plant. Let us remind that in September 2003 the Armenian government passed the ANPP to the trust management of RAO UES of Russia for a 5-year term.
