YEREVAN RESIDENT WANTED TO ENTER ARMENIA ON CAR OF AZERI EMBASSY IN GEORGIA
The Georgian police has detained a citizen of Armenia, who along with his accomplices hijacked a Niva car, owned by the Azeri Embassy in Georgia, from a parking lot in the center of Tbilisi a few days ago. According to the information of the ministry of internal affairs of Georgia, as reported by Novosti Russian agency, resident of Yerevan Gevorg Stepanian, 33, was detained by Georgian law-enforcement bodies in the hijacked car at the check-point next to the Georgian-Armenian border. Measures are held to identify and detain the rest of the criminal group members. The press center of the Azeri Embassy reported the stolen car was returned to the Embassy.
