NATO DOES NOT RULE OUT DISCUSSION OF TRANSFERRING COMING MANEUVERS FROM AZERBAIJAN TO ANOTHER COUNTRY
The NATO command qualifies the tragic incident in Budapest as a criminal act and severely condemns the occurrence. A NATO Spokesman told Liberty radio station when commenting on the murder of an Armenian officer by an Azeri serviceman. It should be reminded that both officers were taking English courses in the Hungarian capital within the NATO Partnership for Peace Program. Answering the question on the opportunity of transferring the NATO maneuvers planned to be held in Azerbaijan in September 2004 to the territory of another state, the Spokesman said the NATO command is not considering such a version at present. However, he did not rule out the issue to be discussed in the course of the coming conference on planning the exercises, in which delegations from Armenia and Azerbaijan will participate.
