"A1+" TV COMPANY FAMOUS FOR ITS OPPOSITION POSITION TO PARTICIPATE IN CONTEST FOR RIGHT TO BROADCAST ON DECIMETRIC FREQUENCY
"A1+" Armenian TV company will participate in the contest for the right to broadcast on decimetric frequency. As "Arka" agency reports, Armenian President Robert Kocharian has stated this in his interview with journalists. In his words, 12 contests for the right to broadcast on decimetric frequency and 3 contests for the right to broadcast on metric frequency are planned to be held this year. He has noted that the contest committee will act according to the law "On television and radio". "This proves that the subjective approaches are excluded", R. Kocharian has stated. The President has told that all the proposals of TV companies will be published and "no committee will be able to grant the right to broadcast to the company the proposals of which will not be attractive". Kocharian has noted he likes the informational part of "A1+" TV news but it does not mean that it will be granted the right to broadcast. Otherwise, in President's opinion "new companies will never appear and serious investment offers will never be made". It should be noted that besides "A1+", "Sharm" and "Dofin TV" participate in the contest for the right to broadcast on the 37 channel of decimetric frequency.
