Papikyan holds talks with Slovak counterpart![]() May 6, 2026 - 15:07 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan met with Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Robert Kalinak in Warsaw on May 5. The sides agreed to give practical momentum to bilateral defense cooperation in the near future. During the meeting, the officials discussed issues related to Armenia-Slovakia cooperation in the defense sector and exchanged views on prospects for further interaction. Both sides emphasized the importance of cooperation in military education, exchange of professional experience, military exercises and defense-technical collaboration. On May 6, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan attended the opening ceremony of the Defence24 Days conference on defense and security issues in Warsaw. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
