Sweden’s Armenians protest Azeri assassin release

The Armenian community of Sweden gathered in front of the Hungarian embassy in Stockholm Friday, Sept 14, to protest the extradition and subsequent pardon of Azeri murderer Ramil Safarov.

The protesters held sheets reading "For how much did you sell your honor?" and "We want justice for Gurgen Margaryan".

A letter of protest addressed to the Hungarian government was handed over to the vice ambassador of Hungary, who emphasized his country’s friendship with the Armenians and said that Hungarian people share the Armenian grief.

Along with the letter, the vice ambassador received two books on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
