Two bombs kill at least 4 in Pakistan

Pakistani police say two bombs minutes apart have ripped through a market in the country's south, killing at least four people and wounding 10 others, according to The Associated Press.

Police officer Usman Asghar says the Tuesday, Sept 18, blasts also damaged several shops in the Nazim Abad neighborhood of the port city of Karachi. He says the dead and wounded had been transported to hospitals.

Karachi is the capital of southern Sindh province.

No one claimed responsibility, but Karachi has a history of sectarian, political and ethnic violence.

Karachi has also been the scene of several bomb and gun attacks in recent years, most blamed on Pakistani Taliban, who are believed to be hiding there.
