Acting Mayor votes ‘for better Yerevan,’ rules out electoral bribes

Acting Mayor Taron Margaryan voted in City Council polls ‘for better Yerevan,’ expressing confidence for electoral victory of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.

In a conversation with journalists Margaryan gave high assessment to RPA’s electoral campaign and city development programs, expressing certainty that Yerevan residents will have ‘the city of their dreams’ within the next 4 years.

In conclusion, the Acting Mayor ruled out the possibility of electoral bribes.

The law on municipal government stipulates for a 65-member Council elected for a 4-year term. The Council is responsible for electing Yerevan Mayor.
