Armenian officer dies in Azeri ceasefire violation

Senior non-commissioned officer Hayk Keshishoglyan, born in 1972, was killed in Azeri ceasefire violation. The incident occurred in military unit N. located in the northeastern direction of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Armenian media report.

A criminal case has been initiated. An investigation is underway.

Azerbaijan’s armed forces shelled the Nagorno Karabakh line of contact overnight, targeting Armenian villages and defense positions, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense said on April 6.

“There was gunfire, though not critical,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.

The adversary also opened gunfire on villagers working in vineyards in the Tavush region on Monday, April 6 morning. The report was later confirmed by Varuzhan Baghmanyan, the governor of the community Choratan.

No deaths or injuries were reported
