Azerbaijan shells Armenian border villages, no casualties reported

Azerbaijani army shelled the villages of Voskevan and Baghanis of Armenia’s Tavush Province on Thursday, November 5.

Armenian armed forces took retaliatory measures to silence the attacks, a Defense Ministry representative told PanARMENIAN.Net.

The Ministry refuted reports of Azerbaijan having pushed forward military equipment.

Also, on the same day, Azerbaijani armed forces shelled a truck on an interstate highway near Baghanis. According to the village chief Narek Sahakyan, the engine and wheels of the truck were damaged; the Ossetian truck driver, however, was unharmed.

According to the NKR Defense Ministry, 100 ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani armed forces were registered on the night of November5-6, with over 1800 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, as well as 60-mm mortars (1 shell).
