U.S. criticizes Turkey for strategic partnership with Iran
The United States expressed its concern and objection regarding Turkey's plans to establish a strategic alliance with Iran in the field of energy Turkish Daily News reported citing a diplomatic source from U.S. Embassy in Ankara. "We're watching the situation with concern," said a U.S. diplomat who wished not to mention his name.

Turkey and Iran have agreed to build a long-term cooperation in the energy sector, namely drilling oil and natural gas and transferring Iranian oil and gas to Europe.
