Armenian, Azeri FMs may meet if Baku doesn't back off: Nalbandian

Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers may meet in the near future if Baku doesn't back off, Armenia's chief diplomat told reporters Tuesday, January 31.

"The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs have proposed a meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference," Edward Nalbandian said.

"They have also suggested to organize a summit of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers."

Such a meeting will take place if Baku doesn't back off, he added.

"I can't confirm at the moment as it is still unclear what games Baku will play this time as they have done on many other occasions in the past. I mean, we agree on one thing, but they cite at the last minute some problems, even blaming the refusal to meet on the Armenian side," Nalbandian said.
